Welcome
Welcome to Guitar, Talk, Love and Drums, the fanlisting for New Wave music. The title comes from the 1983 Gary Myrick song, which to me, pretty much sums up what new wave music is all about. New wave sprung from punk music in the late 70's. Soon after, in the early 80's, the term new wave was applied to electronic-driven, poppy-sounding music. You can't consider yourself a child of the 80s and not have a special place in your heart for new wave.

New Wave is a term that has been used to describe many developments in music, but is most commonly associated with a movement in American, Australian, British, Canadian and European popular music, in the late 1970s and early 1980s born out of the punk rock movement. The genre was fashionable during the 1980s and became somewhat popular again during the 2000s.
